Agreements
The Annual Performance Agreement (APA) is a Memorandum of Understanding signed between the Cabinet Secretary as the representative of the Hon'ble Prime Minister of the Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh and the Secretary of the concerned Ministry / Division as the representative of the Hon'ble Minister in charge of the concerned Ministry. Annual performance agreements have been introduced under the government performance management system to increase transparency and accountability in government operations, ensure proper utilization of resources and improve institutional capacity. This agreement sets out the strategic objectives of the concerned ministry / department, the activities undertaken to achieve these strategic objectives and performance indicators and targets for measuring the results of these activities. The actual achievement of the concerned ministry / department will be evaluated against the targets set in the 7 year contract after the end of the relevant financial year.
